GHSC-10 organised awareness talk on problems faced by transgender

Chandigarh, February 13, 2023: Government Home Science College organised an awareness talk on the problems faced by transgender. The resource person of the talk was Mx Nilofer (Training Officer), Humsafar Trust, Mumbai. In her talk, she addressed students and faculty about various problems faced by transgender people and also threw light on different abuses and sensitised everyone to eradicate transphobia and homophobia from mainstream society. Furthermore, she enlightened everyone about various programs that are started by Humsafar Trust for education and upliftment of transgender individuals. 

Principal of the college, Prof Sudha Katyal encouraged students to understand plight of transgender community and spread awareness in society.
