GHSC-10 Organised One Day Workshop on ‘Ayurveda for Holistic Health: Integrating Ancient Wisdom in Modern Times’

The workshop aimed to emphasize the relevance of Ayurveda in addressing modern health challenges and to explore ways to integrate this ancient healing system with contemporary medical practices.
The event highlighted the relevance of Ayurveda in addressing contemporary health challenges and explored ways to integrate its ancient practices with modern medical approaches. Dr. Aditi, Assistant Professor from the Department of Shalyatantra (General Surgery), and Dr. Abhishek from the Department of Paediatrics (BalRoga), served as resource persons. They emphasized Ayurveda's principles of preventive care, the role of food in shaping human personality, and its global significance in modern times. The workshop provided students with practical insights on Indian knowledge system in sync with their existing curriculum on mental health and well-being, specially in the area of human development.
Prof. Sudha Katyal, Principal of the college, highlighted the timeless value of Ayurveda in complementing modern medicine. She further accentuated the institution's commitment in promoting overall health and wellness among students, emphasizing that this workshop marked a significant step towards blending ancient traditions with modern advancements for a healthier society.
