GHSC-10 organises Amrit Kalash Yatra under ‘Meri Maati Mera Desh’ Campaign 

NSS Volunteers of Government Home Science College, Sector -10, Chandigarh organized Amrit Kalash Yatra under ‘Meri Maati Mera Desh' Campaign. The campaign was conducted to celebrate Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav. 

GHSC-10 organises Amrit Kalash Yatra under ‘Meri Maati Mera Desh’ Campaign 

Chandigarh, October 12, 2023:  NSS Volunteers of Government Home Science College, Sector -10, Chandigarh organized Amrit Kalash Yatra under ‘Meri Maati Mera Desh' Campaign. The campaign was conducted to celebrate Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav. 

The event started with pledge taking ceremony in which volunteers took ‘Panch Pran Pledge’, which are the highways to building a great India. Rice grains and soil brought in by the NSS volunteers was collected in the Kalash. The main purpose for collecting rice grains & soil was to create ‘Amrit Vatika’ so as to pay tribute to our motherland and to the courageous veers who have made the supreme sacrifice for our nation. Furthermore, volunteers participated in Amrit Kalash Yatra raising slogans on ‘Meri Maati, Mera Desh’, Jai Hind, Jai Bharat’. 

The rally started from college to outside premises. More than 50 NSS Volunteers participated enthusiastically in the event along with the programme officers. 

Principal of the college, Prof. Sudha Katyal emphasised on the contribution of courageous veers for their supreme sacrifice towards our nation. She further applauded the students for their overwhelming participation in the event.
