GHSC-10 organises Voluntary Blood Donation Camp
NSS Wing of Government Home Science College organised voluntary blood donation camp on the occasion of Baal Veer Diwas on December 26, 2022. The camp was organised in association with PGIMER, Chandigarh and Lions Club (Host), Chandigarh.

Chandigarh, December 26, 2022: NSS Wing of Government Home Science College organised voluntary blood donation camp on the occasion of Baal Veer Diwas on December 26, 2022. The camp was organised in association with PGIMER, Chandigarh and Lions Club (Host), Chandigarh.
The camp aimed to encourage youngsters to donate blood. The inauguration was done by R.R. Aneja (President) Lion’s Club (Host), Chandigarh along with Jagdish Kumar(Board Member) and H.S.Atwal, (Treasurer)Lion’s Club (Host), Chandigarh.
Around 90 students and employees of the college participated in this noble venture and a total of 54 units of blood were donated by them. Each donor was presented with a token of appreciation certificate by PGIMER, Chandigarh and a gift sponsored by Lions Club (Host), Chandigarh respectively. The event was supported by our refreshment partners Lions Club (Host), Chandigarh & Verka.
Principal of the college, Prof.Sudha Katyal appreciated the zeal of the donors and urged the students and staff to come forward for the noble cause and serve the humanity. Prof. Katyal further congratulated the NSS Wing for their committed sense of responsibility towards society and working towards the motto ‘ Not Me, But You’.
