GHSC-10 Students Explore Architectural Innovations at ARCHEX 2025

Chandigarh, February 10, 2025: Government Home Science College, Chandigarh, organized a two-day educational visit to ARCHEX: The Architectural Exhibition at Sector-17 Parade Ground, Chandigarh, on February 7-8, 2025. The visit was specifically arranged for B.Sc. Home Science (IDRM) students from the first, second and final year to enhance their understanding of contemporary architectural trends, innovative construction techniques and sustainable design practices.
The exhibition showcased an impressive array of works by renowned architects, interior designers and industry professionals, providing students with valuable insights into modern architecture. Students observed new-age construction materials, green building systems, energy-efficient designs, and the use of renewable resources in construction. Students actively participated in discussions, asked insightful questions, and meticulously documented their observations.
Commending the initiative, Principal Prof. Sudha Katyal appreciated the enthusiasm of the students and the efforts of the Department of Resource Management & Extension. She emphasized the importance of such experiential learning opportunities in bridging academic knowledge with real-world applications.
