GHSC Students participate in Eat Right Millets Mela by FSSAI
In alignment with UN declaring 2023 as International Year of Millets, Department of Foods and Nutrition of Government Home Science College, Chandigarh has been actively collaborating and organising activities to promote the use of millets amongst the masses.

Chandigarh, March 18, 2023: In alignment with UN declaring 2023 as International Year of Millets, Department of Foods and Nutrition of Government Home Science College, Chandigarh has been actively collaborating and organising activities to promote the use of millets amongst the masses.
To further boost this endeavour, the students of the department participated enthusiastically in the Eat Right Millets Mela organised by FSSAI in General Hospital, Sector 16, Chandigarh.
The students put up stalls of nutritious millet-based munchies such as bhel-puri, millet cup-cakes, tikki-chaat and bajra-idli. The highlight of the event was a quiz and games based upon nutrition related activities organised by the students.
The stall attracted a huge footfall and was well appreciated by all the visitors.
Principal of the college, Prof. Sudha Katyal encouraged the students to take part actively in such endeavours to promote and support key government initiatives.
