Ghubaya emerges as winner from Ferozepur Lok Sabha constituency 

Ferozepur, June 4, 2024: Congress candidate Sher Singh Ghubaya emerged as the winner from Ferozepur Lok Sabha constituency by beating AAP candidate Jagdip Singh Kaka Brar with a margin of 3242 votes. While Ghubaya secured 266626, Kaka could manage only 263384 votes and BJP candidate Rana Gurmit Singh Sodhi stood third and secured 255097 votes.

SAD which had been winning this seat since 1998, could manage only 253645 votes. This time party had chosen Nardev Singh Mann, younger son of former SAD MP Jora Singh Mann. Moreover, anti-incumbency factor also worked against SAD.

While addressing the media persons, Ghubaya said that he is thankful to the people of his constituency who helped him in winning the seat. “Last time I could not won due to which several projects could not be completed. Now I will focus on development works”, said Ghubaya.

Earlier Ghubaya, had contested on Ferozepur Lok Sabha seat in 2009 and had won the polls by beating Congress’s Jagmit Singh Brar with a margin of 21071 votes. In 2014 also, Ghubaya defeated another heavyweight Sunil Jakhar with a margin of 31420 votes.

SEGMENT WISE RESULTS
In Ferozepur Rural , Rana Gurmit Singh Sodhi secured 33077 votes, Ghubaya secured 32687 votes, Kaka Brar secured 16976 votes and Nardev Mann secured 14428 votes.
In Ferozepur Rural, Nardev Mann secured 36098 votes, Kaka brar got 34398 votes while Ghubaya and Sodhi secured 27193 and 14850 votes.
In Guruharsahai, Nardev Mann secured 46683 votes, Ghubaya secured 26614, Kaka Brar secured 25398 and Sodhi secured only 12622 votes.
In Jalalabad, Ghubaya secured 43932 votes, Nardev Mann secured 43002 votes, Kaka Brar secured 35036 votes and Rana Sodhi secured 18249 votes.
In Fazilka, Ghubaya secured 46113 votes, Sodhi secured 37457 votes, Kaka Brar secured 28479 votes and Nardev secured 11114  votes.
In Abohar, Sodhi secured 52847 votes, Ghubaya secured 19789 votes, Kaka Brar secured 20321 votes and Nardev secured 14095 votes
In Balluana, Sodhi secured 44378 votes, Kaka Brar 28296 votes, Ghubaya secured 24620 votes and Nardev Mann secured 19464 votes.
In Malout, Nardev Mann secured 32815 votes, Kaka Brar secured 31976 votes, Ghubaya secured 24873 votes and Sodhi secured 19705 votes.
In Muktsar, Kaka Brar secured 40393 votes, Nardev Mann secured 34633 votes, Sodhi secured 20656 votes and Ghubaya secured 18891 votes.
