GIIS Hadapsar celebrates Human Values Week

Pune, February 27, 2023: Global Indian International School, Hadapsar recently celebrated ‘Human Values Week with much joy and fervor. The theme of the activity was kindness, and it was beautifully embedded in each activity to teach students about key life values such as caring for others and helping the needy. 

The activity was spread over five days during which students from Grade 3rd to 8th     participated in various activities where they were taught values such as kindness, helping the needy, honesty, sharing & caring for others, and overcoming their fears.  

During the week-long activity, students were encouraged to participate in a donation drive wherein they donated essential supplies to the school’s housekeeping staff, and nannies. The students also prepared a kindness jar in which they would add a cookie card for each act of kindness performed throughout the week. The school also organized a special assembly for students to ‘Manage fear, anxiety and phobia' and presented a short film "The Cold" - by Miko Lazic. The young ones thoroughly enjoyed the short film as it taught them about overcoming their fears which was creatively presented and followed by students performing dance routines, skits, poems, power point presentations, and action songs.

Speaking on the occasion, Rajiv Bansal, Director-Operations, GIIS India said that “While we focus on every student’s academic progress, we also ensure that they excel in all walks of life. Educating students on the importance of living by kindness, helping the needy, being honest, etc. is equally essential as these values are carried out throughout one’s life. The Human Values Week at GIIS Hadapsar witnessed students from different age groups participating with great enthusiasm as they were given the opportunity to learn by engaging in fun activities. The motive behind organizing the activity was to give students the opportunity to learn essential values at a young age in the most creative way”.

The Human Values Week at GIIS Hadapsar ended on a high note as students not only learned important life values, but they got the opportunity to learn in the most engaging way.
