Jalandhar, August 5, 2023: Teej festival was celebrated with great enthusiasm in Dips School to introduce the students to the Punjabi heritage. Dressed in Punjabi dress, the Mutiyars who reached the school presented Gidda and expressed their happiness by applying henna on their hands.

To make the children aware of Punjabi Birse, the school was decorated with Punjabi props like Phulkari, Charkha, Matka, Madani etc. by the teachers and the children were informed about them. Png decorated with flowers. The children along with the teachers made bids and enjoyed the swings. The children made the atmosphere pleasant by singing songs like Aaya Sawan Jhumke, Sawan Ke Jhool Pade, Kuch Kehta Hai Sawan etc.

Teachers told the children that Teej festival is celebrated in the month of Sawan. The greenery of nature is visible everywhere in the month of Sawan, hence it is called Hariyali Teej. It is celebrated with great pomp in many parts of India. To make this day special everyone enjoyed Malpua, Kheer, Ghevar.
