GKU holds Karwa Chauth Mehndi Competition

Dr A.K. Kansal, Dean of the college was the chief guest of the programme. Kavita Chowdhary and Lavjit Kaur co-ordinated the activity very nicely. M.A. 2nd year student Amandeep kaur and Manpreet Kaur of B.A.-I were declared winner and runner-up.

Talwandi Sabo, October 10, 2014: University College of Basic Sciences of Guru Kashi University, Talwandi Sabo held a Mehndi Competition to mark the Karwa Chauth. Around 25 students participated in this competition.

Dr A.K. Kansal, Dean of the college was the chief guest of the programme. Kavita Chowdhary and Lavjit Kaur co-ordinated the activity very nicely. M.A. 2nd year student Amandeep kaur and Manpreet Kaur of B.A.-I were declared winner and runner-up. Neeraj and Satwinder Kaur were the judges of the competition.
Dean Dr. A.K. Kansal appericiated the organisers for nicely organising this cultural activity. This will also help in maintaining our strong bonding with the cultural roots.
Sukhraj Singh Sidhu, Managing Director lauded the efforts of Dean Dr. Kansal and organisers for this cultural activity. He also stated that such programmes help us to transmit the rich culture to the coming generations.
Apart from others Deputy Dean Dr. Ram Niwas, HoD. Punjabi Dr. Jagwinder Jodha, Dr. Balwant Singh Sandhu, Dr. Sukhjeet Kaur, N.S.S. Programme Officer Kanwaljeet Singh and PRO Sukhdevinder Singh Kaurra were present to grace the occasion.
