GKU students who visit Virast-E- Khalsa.

Talwandi Sabo, May 7, 2014: Recently, students from University College of Computer Applications, Guru Kashi University Talwandi sabo, organised a two day educational tour to Virast-E- Khalsa, Anandpur Sahib. They were accompanied by professors Amandeep Singh, Harpal Singh, Ranjit Kaur and Arshdeep Kaur.
Students started their journey by taking blessings from Takhat Sri Damdama Sahib. Students visited Takhat Sri Keshgarh Sahib, Anandpur Sahib, which marks the birth place of the Khalsa. They gathered rich information about Sikhism, apart from knowledge about  culture and heritage of the region. It was on Baisakhi day in 1699, when Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji baptized the Panj Pyaras at the place where Takhat Sri Keshgarh Sahib stands.
During the Virast-E- Khalsa visit, students went through the enriched Punjabi culture and learnt many things about Khalsa history. Students enjoyed the trip thoroughly.
Vice Chancellor, Dr. N.S.Malhi appreciated the efforts of Dean, University College of Computer Applications and the faculty members for the proper arrangements for this trip, which will help the students in their holistic development.
