GLADA constructing 200-feet wide road at war footing in Urban Estate's Dugri

Ludhiana: Construction of road from Jawaddi Link Road to Jain Mandir at Urban Estate's Dugri is going on full swing at an outlay of Rs. 14 crore so as to provide relief to residents of these localities.
Giving more information, Chief Administrator GLADA Sagar Setia while visiting the project site said that earlier construction of this road was started which later on halted owing to some discripencies. He further added that keeping in view the need for better designing here, the GLADA engineers than tied up with CRRI team after which the work has been started again.
As per design prepared by CRRI team, this road would be build in three layers comprising first layer of 60 MM, second layer of 55 MM, and third layer of 40 MM with a total thickness of 155 MM. Likewise, the GLADA has also increased the strength of drains for quick disposal of rain water on this road.
The Chief Administrator also stated that the work of construction of two layers would be completed before Diwali festival so that commuters can get relief. He also directed the officials to speed up the pace of this project as any kind of inordinate delay we highly unwarranted.
Setia said that the construction of this road was prominent demand of people living in this area which is going to fulfill shortly. This project would be dedicated to people as soon as possible which would prove to be a boon for the economic activities as well as commuters of this locality, he added.
