GLADA observes swachhata pakhwada in its residential colonies
Under the Swachh Bharat Mission Greater Ludhiana Area Development Authority (GLADA) has observed a swachhata pakhwada between September 15 and October 1, at residential colonies falling under its jurisdiction.
Ludhiana, October 3, 2023: Under the Swachh Bharat Mission Greater Ludhiana Area Development Authority (GLADA) has observed a swachhata pakhwada between September 15 and October 1, at residential colonies falling under its jurisdiction.
Giving more information, Chief Administrator GLADA Sagar Setia said that the authority has carried out an intense cleanliness drive in various localities including Sector-32A, 33, Sunjay Gandhi Colony, Sector 40, and Urban Estate Phase-III, Dugri. Besides other cleanliness tasks, the lifting of garbage and debris was also ensured during this 15-day long drive, he said, adding that dustbins were also distributed among the residents of MIG flats at sector-40 so as to further promote the significance of waste segregation at source.
The Chief Administrator further directed the officials to carry out such cleanliness drives in routine so as to ensure maximum awareness towards hygiene and cleanliness could be created among people. He also appealed to the public to join hands with GLADA to become active participants in this drive so that a clean, green and pollution free environment could be created for all. Setia further stated that this drive would continue within residential colonies of the authority so as to instill behavioral changes towards cleanliness.
