Global Grewal Brotherhood consisting of Grewals of all religions from all over world met at GNDEC

Ludhiana: Global Grewal Brotherhood consisting of Grewals of all religions from all over the world met on 9-10 April 2023 at Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College,  Ludhiana for the first time to foster their brotherhood, establish links and perpetual communication and to preserve their Glorious heritage and strengthen brotherhood. Among them were Grewals in strength from Punjab, Haryana, Haryana, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Western UP, Pakistan Punjab, USA, Canada, England and other nations of the globe. Villagers of Brijwasan, Nangli Jadib, Bamla, Sasroli,. Bhamraudi,  Bapdoli, Satrod Khas, Sundawas Khas, Kumbha and  Rawalwal Kalan from Haryana and Delhi who came in large numbers. From Punjab residents of Lalton., Qila Raipur, Gujjarwal, Narangwal, Mehma Singh Wala, Ratan, Jodhan, Mansooran, Badowal, Sarabha, Dhaipai, Ayali, Alamgir, Dhandra, Jassowal, Thhakkarwal,. Dharaud, Dolon, Assi Kalan, Ballowal, Qadian, Badewal, Sidhwan Bet and many other villages enhanced the prestige of the meet.  

Eminent Grewals from Pakistan was Suriya Naseem Grewal MPA Punjab Pakistan, Manpreet Singh Grewal Ayali MLA, Daljit Singh Bhola MLA, Gurcharan Singh Grewal General Secretary Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee, Rear Admiral Suresh Kumar Grewal  from Haryana, Ex Mayor Ludhiana Upinder Singh Grewal, Ashok Singh Garcha Ex-Chairman Improvement Trust Ludhiana.  Gurbaksh Singh Hakmabad Chairman from Rajasthan,  Harpal Singh Zaildar Brijvasan Delhi, Satbir Singh Pardhan Satrod Khas, Haryana, Dr Gurinder Singh Grewal, Commissioner Amrit Kaur Grewal  IAS, Sukhwinder Singh Grewal, BJP Leader and many other accomplished personalities. Prominent were around 250 Haryanvi Grewals  who came with great show of strength and projected their beautiful culture with attractive presents to all.

The programme started with Shabad ' Deho Shiva var Mohi iho' by students of GNE, followed by Welcome by Principal Amarjit Singh Grewal. Song on Grewals by Karmajit Singh Grewal a national awardee was mesmerizing. Power Point Presentation by Col Dr Dalvinder Singh Grewal on History, culture, settlements and achievements of Grewals  was detailed  though to the point. A Bhangra performed by GNE team was soul raising.  Two books 'Global Grewals' and 'Prominent Grewals' researched on Grewals and written by Col Dr Dalvinder Singh Grewal were also released.

Eminent Grewals were honoured thereafter. These included  eminent Grewals   Sepoy Bhola Singh: Indian Order of Merit Shaheed Kartar Singh Sarabha, Naik Shishpal  Maha Vir Chakra, Bhai Randhir Singh (Dr Keerat Singh Grewal s/o Bhai Randhir Singh Grewal) Bahadur Shamsher Singh, Brig Virinder Singh Grewal Shaurya Chakra, Col Gurtej Singh Grewal Sahurya Chakra 8. Surya Naseem Grewal 9. Mahesh Inder Singh Grewal Ex Minister of Education, Mehtab Singh, Gewal Mandi Minister Nabha,  Lt Col Grewal Sena Medal (Grandson), Manpreet Singh Ayali MLA, Daljit Singh Bhola MLA , Rear Admiral Suresh Grewal, Gurcharan Singh Grewal, Secretary Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee,. Amrit Grewal IAS, Mayor Opinder Singh Grewal,  Capt Bir Singh Grewal OBE, Dr Gurinder Singh Grewal, Gurdarshan Singh Grewal,  Balbir Singh Grewal Railways Olympian, Hardeep Singh Grewal Olympian, Sukhwinder Singh Grewal Farmer Leader, Ravinder Singh Grewal Actor and Singer,  Karamjit Singh Grewal National Awardee, Mohit Grewal Gold Medal in commonwealth Games and Buta Singh Grewal. The speeches by eminent authorities appreciated the meet and wished that this meeting system must continue. In thanks giving Col Dr Dalvinder Singh Grewal appreciated those who helped to make the event and success and promised that this programme shall continue in future as well. 

After lunch there was a meeting of the key leaders to chalk out the course of action for 'Grewal Global Brotherhood', for getting it registered and to have branches around the globe.
