GNA University organised Educational Visit to Emerging Life Sciences Department GNDU
Faculty of Natural Sciences of GNA University, Phagwara organised an educational visit of students to Emerging Life Sciences Department of GNDU campus, Amritsar.
Jalandhar, November 3, 2022: Faculty of Natural Sciences of GNA University, Phagwara organised an educational visit of students to Emerging Life Sciences Department of GNDU campus, Amritsar. The main objective behind this visit was to aquatint the students of Natural Sciences to gain first-hand experience of the various high coast instruments used on daily basis in the department.
The team at GNDU demonstrated various sophisticated instruments to the students and faculty. All the students gained practical exposure in getting the first-hand experience of the various high coast instruments like RTPCR, LCMS, Cell Flow Meter, HPLC, Sonicator, Homogenisor, Texture analysis instrument, FTIR, Deep freeze (- 800 C), Incubator, Gel Documentation system, NMR Spectrometer, Mass Spectrometer, RAMAN Spectrometer, SEM, TEM, and many others important devices.
The expert faculty at GNDU said, “All these advanced instruments are very helpful to understand the practical knowledge of research and usage of these instruments.” The students were thrilled with this advanced practical knowledge of research and development in the field of Natural Sciences and enjoyed the visit.
Yogesh Bhalla, HOD, FNS expressed her thanks to the faculty in the department for taking painstaking efforts in rendering exposure to the students. Dr. Rishi Kant and Dr. Aashima Beri were the coordinators who took the leap in this direction.
