GNA University organises Skill Enhancement Course on “Data Engineering”
The School of Engineering, Design and Automation, GNA University organized One Week Skill Enhancement on “Data Engineering” for the students of CSE department. More than 150 students participated in this one-week course.
Jalandhar, February 13, 2024: The School of Engineering, Design and Automation, GNA University organized One Week Skill Enhancement on “Data Engineering” for the students of CSE department. More than 150 students participated in this one-week course.
Er. Saket Kumar, Data Engineer from Helm Technologies was the resource person for this course. Dr. Vikrant Sharma, Dean, Engineering welcomed the resource person and participants during the inauguration ceremony of the course. In this course, participants learnt about SQL commands, basics of Data Engineering, Explored the practical applications of SQL, development of dynamic dashboards on Looker Studio, ETL (Extraction, Transformation, Loading) Pipelines
,different types of data processing methodology and Real-time Operations Systems, with implementations ranging from trading boards to social media analytics.
Dr. Anurag Sharma, Professor and Head, School of Engineering, Design and Automation extends the sincerest gratitude to the distinguished resource person for his exceptional contribution in enriching the tapestry of this course.
Gurdeep Singh Sihra, the Chancellor, GNA University congratulated all the participants for successfully completing the course and also to the organizers of the event. He briefed about this event as the beginning for providing solutions to make a better future and appreciated the students to take pride in being a part of such skill based courses organized by the department.
Dr.VKRattan, the Vice–Chancellor, GNA University appreciated all the participants and encouraged them to part in such emerging technologies which are in demand. Dr. Monika Hanspal, Dean Academics, interacted with participants, highlighted the significance of Data Engineering and said hands-on practices will make students industry ready.
Dr. Hemant Sharma, the Pro Vice-Chancellor thanked the management for providing the platform of learning for the students and staff and ensured all participants that such events will be planned in future to promote skill development and industry oriented activities.
