GNA University signs an MoU with Cambridge University Press


Jalandhar, April 19, 2018: GNA University along with Cambridge University Press signs an MoU to incorporate the use of Cambridge English Empower to improve the language proficiency for the students of the University.
Cambridge University Press is a part of the University of Cambridge and through the Cambridge English Empower Programme, teachers at the university will prepare students for real world communication skills, making them more confident candidates for industry placements. Complemented with use of technology, Cambridge English Empower programme will help to develop a strong command on the 4 LSRW language skills.
To sign in the MoU, the University acknowledged the presence of the representatives from the Cambridge University Press- Mr. Amit Baveja, Vice President & Business Head ELT, South Asia, Ms. KamaljitKaur, Territory Manager(North India Exams & ELT) and Ms.Charu Bose, Deputy General Manager.
The MoU was signed in the benign presence of the Pro- Chancellor, S. Gurdeep Singh Sihra who expressed, “This MoU with the Cambridge University Press will assuredly be an addendum in the existing profile and acumen of the GUites.”
Dr. VK Rattan, the Vice Chancellor said, “I am happy that GNA University is the only in the North region who will be the harbinger in the Cambridge English Empower programme.”
Mr. Amit Baveja, Vice President & Business Head ELT, South Asia said, “I am confident the use of Empower will improve the level of English proficiency. We are proud to associate with GNA university and assist them in achieving their vision.”
Ms. Monika Hanspal, Dean Operations & Systems said, “I feel happy in associating with Cambridge University Press and hope in the times to come the bond between the two parties will be stronger.”
Dr. Disha Khanna, Deputy Dean, Faculty of Liberal Arts expressed, “Team FLA is really thankful to the Team Cambridge University Press for building a connect with our University and wishes to have a long lasting relationship in taking the level of the students to a great extent.”
All the Deans from the various departments showed immense enthusiasm for the new programme and thanked the Cambridge University Press for taking a great initiative.
