Go Green is the Mantra

Ludhiana, September 13, 2018: An interactive session on environmental awareness was organized by NSS units of Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College, Ludhiana. The session was organized with the help of Ecosikh Forum. Opening the session S.Ravneet Singh, Project Manager, EcoSikh India briefed the students about the activities of Ecosikh organization. He said that Ecosikh was planning to plant 550 trees per city to mark the 550th Gurupurab. In his address, Dr. Rajwant Singh, Founder and President, Ecosikh Forum worldwide, USA exhorted the students to follow the environmental principles imbibed in Gurbani. He said that our Gurus have always held environment as supreme and protecting the environment is our prime duty. Dr. Sehijpal Singh, Principal, GNDEC said college already had a lot of green cover : a fact authenticated by World Green Matrix rankings. Dr. Harpuneet Singh, Officer-in-Charge, NSS thanked the dignitaries for their august presence. Over 500 students attended the program.
