Golden Arrow Division organised ‘Veer Nari’ outreach programme at Ferozepur
Ferozepur, October 7, 2019: In keeping with the rich traditions of the Indian Army, the Golden Arrow Division, organised a ‘Veer Nari’ outreach programme on 05th Oct 2019 at Ferozepur, Punjab. The event was part of a regularly executed initiative to reach out to the ‘Veer Nari’ fraternity and help in amelioration of their issues. The daylong event was a medium for Veer Naris to solve their issues regarding documentation and pension disbursal and to interact for resolution of issues. 60 Veer Naris from villages of Ferozepur, Faridkot, Tarn Taran districts and their dependents attended the event. The Army had setup number of stalls namely Pension Desks, Veterans Sahayata Kendra Counter and Personal Records Counter to resolve their problems and to spread awareness about various rehabilitation and welfare schemes for the ‘Veer Naris’ and their dependents. A medical camp with diagnostic facilities was also organised. The event was presided over by Divya Loomba, Chairperson Golden Arrow, Family Welfare Organisation, Army Wives Welfare Association. She conveyed the gratitude of the Nation and the Armed Forces to the Veer Naris for their bravery and sacrifice and reiterated the Army’s commitment of providing all possible assistance and timely redressal of their grievances. Felicitation ceremony for all the Veer Naris was organised followed by an interaction. The event strived to fulfill Indian Army’s responsibility towards its valiant soldiers and their families who served the country with honour and pride. The event endeavoured to give the Veer Naris the due respect for their sacrifice and contribution.
