Ludhiana, February 12, 2024: In a heart-warming reunion, the old students of Guru Hargobind Khalsa College, Gurusar Sadhar (Ludhiana), gathered to relive cherished memories during the annual alumni meet held on the second Saturday of February.
The event commenced with a warm welcome from Prof. Inderjit Singh, the Executive President of the Alumni Association and the College Principal. Prof. Inderjit Singh highlighted the academic, sports, and cultural achievements of the college, setting the stage for a day filled with nostalgia and camaraderie.
Alumni Association Secretary, Dr. Navjot Singh, presented the financial accounts report, showcasing the association's robust activities throughout the year. The gathering witnessed captivating musical performances by the college's music department, including a mesmerizing Bhandan item by Prabhjot Singh and colleagues, and a soulful guitar recital by Yuvraj Singh.
Principal Manjit Singh Khatra, reflecting on his long tenure, shared heartfelt memories associated with the college, creating a poignant atmosphere of unity and connection.
The occasion also witnessed the felicitation of distinguished alumni, including Prof. Harbans Kaur Khatra, Dr.Swaranjit Singh Deol, Baldev Singh Dhillon, Prof. Jagdev Singh, Prof. Major Singh, Prof. Kultar Singh Sidhwan, Bachittar Singh, Baldev Singh Dhillon, Kewal Singh Heran, D.C. Buttar, Ram Singh Kular, Bhagwant Singh, Jaranil Singh Gill and former MLA Jagtar Singh Jagga, among others.
In a gesture of gratitude, the college honoured individuals who made significant contributions, with special recognition for Dr. Rajinder Singh and Dr. Jaspreet Kaur Gulati for their outstanding stage management throughout the event.
