Chandigarh, March 12, 2025: Government Home Science College has been honoured with a prestigious Certificate of Appreciation by the Secretary General of Commonwealth organization The RT Hon Patricia Scotland KC along with Kamlesh D. Patel president of the Shri Ram Chandra Mission for its unwavering participation in the Heartfulness Essay Event, a flagship program that has been running successfully for the past 31 years.
The event is organized by the Heartfulness Education Trust in collaboration with The Commonwealth Organization to inspire young minds towards reflective thinking and holistic development. The essay event received 91050 entries in 11 languages across two age group categories. The college has consistently encouraged its students to take part in this esteemed competition, fostering a culture of creativity, self-expression, and mindfulness. This recognition stands as a testament to the institution’s commitment to promoting educational excellence and value-based learning.
On receiving the certificate, Prof. Sudha Katyal (Principal), expresses its gratitude to the organizers for this recognition and looks forward to continuing its participation in future editions of the Heartfulness Essay Event.
