Government Home Science College observed international day against drug abuse and illicit trafficking
Volunteers were sensitized through an online live session
Chandigarh: To mark the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, more than 50 NSS Volunteers took pledge to stay away from drugs and to live a healthy life. Volunteers were sensitized through an online live session on google meet in which,NSS Programme Officers, Dr.Neha Sharma and Mrs.Seema Jaitly addressed upon the issues of youth being vulnerable to drug abuse. They were also made aware of the harmful effects of drugs and its consequences.
Principal of the college, Prof. Sudha Katyal highlighted the significance of counselling and involvement of youth in addressing this issue thereby sensitizing the masses against drug abuse.
