Government should accept genuine demands of PCMS doctors: IDPD
Says the PCMS association has been agitating for long for their demands
Ludhiana: Indian Doctors for Peace and Development (IDPD) has demanded from the government to accept the genuine demands of the government doctors. The PCMS association has been agitating for long for their demands. It is ironical that the doctors who had been working hard during the pandemic risking their life to save the people, after the pay commission report their total emoluments instead of increasing have been reduced. The doctors need to be given hazardous service allowance.
Dr Arun Mitra, senior vice president IDPD said that the doctors and other health workers always work in hazardous conditions as they are always at risk of exposure to disease. But the government instead of recognising their work is working to the contrary by reducing their total emoluments. Aanganwadi and ASHA workers are the worst affected. They are not recognised even as worker. They should be given regular jobs, said Dr Mitra, so that they can work for uplift of the health of the people.
