Governor Gulab Chand Kataria advocates quality education for women empowerment
Punjab Governor Gulab Chand Kataria emphasized the importance of quality education as a means to bring out the potential of women, enabling them to contribute significantly to societal progress through their diverse skills.
Sidhwan Khurd (Ludhiana), October 21, 2024: Punjab Governor Gulab Chand Kataria emphasized the importance of quality education as a means to bring out the potential of women, enabling them to contribute significantly to societal progress through their diverse skills.
During the Founders Day celebrations of Shri Guru Hargobind Ujagar Hari Trust, Sidhwan Khurd on Monday, the Governor highlighted that women possess innate abilities for multitasking and that through education and equal involvement in decision-making processes, they can serve as beacons for the community.
Referring to Bibi Harparkash Kaur Ji, one of the Trust's founders, Governor Kataria pointed out that educated women leave a lasting impact on society and inspire others to emulate their example. Starting with just four students under a tree in 1909, the institution has grown to educate over 5000 students.
Kataria also stressed the need for increased opportunities for women to further their achievements. He encouraged young women to emulate Bibi Harparkash Kaur Ji's mission to promote education among girls. He praised the teachers as the architects of the nation, acknowledging their significant responsibility in fostering values, discipline, and leadership qualities in students to contribute to India's prosperity.
Additionally, he also honourrd the students from the institutions for their achievements.
Trustees Dr Gurinder Singh Grewal, Retd PCS Pritam Singh Johal, Jarnail Singh Dhillon, Davinder Singh Mann and others also felicitated the Governor.
Deputy Commissioner Jitendra Jorwal, SSP Navneet Singh Bains, GADVASU VC Dr JS Gill and others were also present on the occasion.
