Ludhiana, December 24, 2018: Exercising his powers under section 144 of CrPC, District Magistrate-cum-Deputy Commissioner Ludhiana Mr Pradeep Kumar Agrawal today issued orders banning the carrying of all kinds of weapons.
These orders were issued today, i.e December 24, 2018, and would remain in force from December 26-31, 2018.
Similarly, the District Magistrate, Ludhiana, also ordered that all liquor vends would remain closed on December 30, 2018. He ordered that on these days, no hotel, restaurant, club etc would be allowed to serve liquor on its premises. He ordered that no person can store liquor on these days as well. He stated that these orders have been
issued to maintain law and order in view of the Gram Panchayat elections.
