Ludhiana, September 24, 2019: PCTE Group of Institutes witnessed a heavy dose of glitz and glamour at the Grand Finale of Fashion Paragon -Mega Model Hunt competition.
In the prelims, a total of 80 participants had an individual walk around and a couple of walk around where they were judged based on their outfit, walk confidence and elegance. Out of 80 contestants, 15 boys and 15 girls made it to the grand finale. The jury announced Kulwinder from B.Pharma as Mr.Paragon and Antarjot Kaur as Ms.Paragon.
Adorned in their magnificent attires, the students looked stunning as they gracefully and confidently walked the ramp. Students were awarded different titles encouraging them to outshine their talents. Among the various titles, Supreet and Chestha won the title of Mr./Miss Photogenic Face. Sejal won the title of Miss.Bright Smile. Vaibhav and Zoha was titled with Mr.Handsome and Miss. Elegant resp. Last but not least, Paras and Desta grabbed the title of Mr./Miss Best Outfit, respectively.
Prabhleen who participated in the contest said that “it was a very good opportunity for the students." She further added being in pageants is not just about beauty. It is more about serving to the community, being a role model and making a difference.
Students came up with some of the best fashion styles, trends and clothes in the field of fashion. The idea behind this contest was to bring a platform for all those who are passionate about modelling and want to pursue it as a career line. Among the shortlisted candidates there were many who are already doing part-time modelling for various brands and in Pollywood too said Ruchi Chopra, Assistant Professor and convener of PCTE Fashion Club.
Dr.KNS Kang, Director General, PCTE Group of Institutes congratulated the faculty of Fashion Design on successfully organizing the event. He congratulated the contestants who took up the courage to participate in the contest. He further added that "such Pageants teach goal setting, the “I can do it” attitude, helps a lot to perform even under pressure and it can make a building path for careers also."
