Mumbai: Emraan Hashmi is set to don the uniform of an army officer in his next release Ground Zero. While the film’s trailer has left a lasting impact on the audience already, Emraan’s working process has left his director Tejas Prabha Vijay Deoskar in awe too.

Sharing his experience of working with Emraan, Tejas calls it a “breeze”. “As an actor, he's extremely sincere, punctual, and into it. He understood the entire context and the journey of his character and worked on it on his own by the time we started shooting, he was completely prepared not only with the lines but also with the understanding of the film’s context and intention. So, it became extremely easy for me as a director to convey to him what I am expecting out of this story and his character,” he says.

Tejas insists that one of the biggest plus points about Emraan is that even after being a big star, he does not have come with its baggage. “Reaching out to him is extremely easy. He's a very easy person to communicate with as he has no hang-ups. It is easier for a director to expect things out of him and he's extremely open to that. I never felt a sort of stress or any sort of hindrance while communicating with him and extracting the performance out of him. He's a director’s actor,” he asserts, adding that Emraan’s professionalism on set was uncanny. “He understood that shooting in Kashmir can be difficult. So, he was helping the entire unit move forward smoothly.”

Remembering a striking moment on a shoot with Emraan, Tejas recalls, “Unlike his image on the screen, he's quite a shy person. We were shooting a family scene with Sai and Emraan together and I wanted to create an inside moment between them. But he was so shy that initially he did not look at Sai with that kind of mischievous look that I wanted, and we all burst into laughing. He got slightly embarrassed because of that but then he started smiling as well. These moments make them humans as while they are stars on screen, they are also humans and he's a very good human being.”
