Guest lecture at Apeejay College of Fine Arts

Jalandhar: The Department of Computer Science of Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar organized a Guest Lecture on Block-chain and Industry 4.0. Mr. Rajbeer Singh, Senior Manager, Track Invest was the resource person of the day. Addressing the gathering, he talked about the skill gap between the prescribed syllabus and the industry requirements due to which the demand of skilled labour has increased.

Talking of Block-chain, he said it is a digital ledger which means it is a kind book where all the accounts/records of Debit and Credit transactions are maintained. This cryptography process is mostly used to collect data, to keep an eye on digital usage, payments etc. Block-chain records are unhackable and its usage is increasing in the contemporary age. 14 states have already started using this new age technology actively and Telangana is leading in this.

In term of career in block-chaining, he put forth that in India, there are very less number of people who are able to use to; so there is a huge scope in this stream.

Principal Dr. Sucharita Sharma putting forth her views said that it is important for students to remain updated with the latest technologies and new age processes in order to make themselves competent enough in this contemporary era. This Guest lecture was organized by IT Forum. Principal Dr. Sucharita Sharma appreciated Dr. Jagmohan Mago. Dean IT Forum and Dr. Roopali Sood, HOD, Department of Computer Science for successfully organizing the event and guiding the students.
