Jalandhar, February 13, 2015: PCM S.D.College for Women organised a Guest Lecture on Globalisation and Indian Economy: Impact and Implications in collaboration with P.G.Department of Commerce and Management & P.G.Department of Economics on Friday.

Dr.Parminder Singh, Professor, Punjab School of Economics delivered the lecture on this current and burning issue.

Principal Dr.Kiran Arora, Prof.Alka Sharma and Prof.Sangita Sharma gave a floral welcome to the guest faculty. The speaker highlighted the positive impact of Globalisation upon FDI, Agricultural, industrial and infrastructural development. Now India is the preferred destination for FDI. Due to positive economic reforms aimed at deregulating the economy and stimulating foreign investment, India has positioned itself as one of the front runners of the rapidly growing Asia-Pacific region.

Prof. Priya Mahajan welcomed the dignitary and Prof. Shalini Bibra proposed the vote of thanks. Prof. Nidhi Datta and Prof. Tapsi co-ordinated the activities of the guest lecture.
