Guest Lecture on Unsung Heroes of Indian Freedom Struggle
Department of History of PCM SD College for Women, Jalandhar organised Guest Lecture on the Unsung Heroes of Indian Freedom Struggle.
Jalandhar, September 1, 2023: Paying a rich tribute to the forgotten heroes of India's struggle for independence, the Dept. of History of PCM S.D.College for Women, Jalandhar organized a Guest Lecture on 'Bhule Bisre Krantikariyon ka Punha Samaran'. Shri Ravinder Nath Bhardwaj, Retired Assistant Commissioner Custom and Central Excise was the Resource Person of the event.
Promod, member of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), Shri Romesh Sharma, former District member of BJP and Dr. Poonam Sood, Professor, Department of Hindi, Delhi University were also present on the occasion.
At the outset, the Principal of the college Prof.(Dr.) Pooja Prashar welcomed all the guests and gave a brief description about the college.
Ravinder Nath threw considerable light on the forgotten and lesser-known revolutionaries who played pivotal roles in India's struggle for freedom but have been neglected by history. He also discussed the contributions and sacrifices of these unsung heroes, highlighting their indomitable spirit and commitment to the cause of India's independence.
At the conclusion of the event, Kawaljit Kaur from Department of History extended a vote of thanks to the resource person and the guests.
President Naresh Budhia, Senior Vice President Vinod Dada, the other honourable members of the Management Committee and the worthy Principal congratulated the Department of History for successfully organizing a thought-provoking lecture on those selfless souls who gave their today for the nation's tomorrow.
The event proved to be a resounding success, attracting a diverse audience of students, researchers and esteemed academicians.
