Guest lecture on radio script & production

Jalandhar: Department of Journalism & Mass Communication of Apeejay College of Fine Arts organised a guest lecture on 'radio script and production' where RJ Ranbir from Radio Mirchi 98.3 FM featured as the resource person. Addressing the students, Ranbir told that in order to excel as an RJ, it is imperative to have linguistic skill as well as clarity of speech. He stressed the importance of rehearsal in order to attain fluency, eloquence and continuity in one's speech and delivery. Besides this, Ranbir also recorded views, reviews and interaction of 15 students for his program “Gal Sun Meri Heer” to be broadcasted on 98.3 FM. While concluding, he said that Journalism has umpteen number of career opportunities for enthusiastic and confident youngsters.
Addressing, Principal Dr. Sucharita Sharma remarked that Journalism & Mass Communication has wide and varied career avenues and students must understand the nuances of electronic media in order to excel in the domain. She also appreciated the efforts of Dr. Kadambari Nayyar, Head of Journalism & Mass Communication Department and of Ms. Navneet Pal Kaur for providing the students a rich platform for learning.
