Gurleen-Jasleen sisters perform in 100 Gurbani Kirtans, bring out two albums Chandigarh, May 29, 2019: Music is not their profession, but passion, as the sister-duo, Jasleen and Gurleen Kaur have an impressive record of devotional performances, with over 100 Gurbani Kirtans and two devotional music albums to their name. The musical journey began a decade ago, when they took training in vocal music from renowned artist, PS Bali. After the demise of the mentor, their father, CA Gurdeep Singh took it upon himself to provide required guidance, as he himself has keen interest in music. Even today, Gurdeep Singh plays tabla for few minutes in the evening after returning from his work. Two devotional music albums – ‘Daras Tere Ki Pyas Mann Laagi’ and ‘Har Ki Vadeyai Dekho Santo’, produced by Wonder Waves, are testimony to this family’s love for music. Jasleen (26) and Gurleen (22) say, “We like singing Gurbani the most. Moreover, we have been encouraged in our pursuit at all times by everyone. We have always had an interest in singing and had been performing at Kirtans. The love and blessings we have received are precious.” Gurleen has done BSc - Biotechnology (Hons) from GGDSD College, Sector 32, Chandigarh, and aims to join BIMM, Pune to pursue her MBA. A girl who secured 90% marks in school board exams, won the Antakshari Little Stars, a Star Plus programme and again emerged winner at the Pratibha Youth Fest of Gian Jyoti Institute of Management and Technology. She got appreciation at National Conference on Space hosted by Dikshant Global School and Science Fest Bio Rhythm of SD College. Gurleen has done internship in Microbiological Techniques, under the Dept of Microbiology, Panjab University, Chandigarh.
