Gurpreet Singh Gabi determined to get need based changes regularised in housing board houses
Chandigarh, December 6, 2021: Gurpreet Singh Gabi, Congress candidate from Ward No 34 (Sector 45 & 46) campaigned door-to-door in his area today and promised to get the need based changes regularized for the housing board houses. He said that there are 80 percent housing board houses in his area and the local MP Ms Kirron Kher did not pay any heed to the problem, even after seven years of being elected as M.P from the Chandigarh
He said that Ms Kher won the election in 2014 on the promise of getting the need based changes in housing board houses regularized. In the subsequent MC elections in 2016 and parliamentary election of 2019 again BJP reiterated these promises but did not fulfill these poll promises and even did not took any concerte steps or efforts in this direction. Gurpreet said that being a resident of the area itself he will ensure that need based changes in housing board flats are allowed and regularised if he elected to the house.
Gurpreet is one of the candidates in the upcoming election of Municipal Corporation Chandigarh and renowned social figure in worker of the area. During the peak of covid 19 he distributed free masks, sanitizers, juices to the needy and spread awareness in the area about how to avoid spread of covid.
Residents of the area apprised him about their problems and how during the last 5 years the beauty of the area and cleanliness has taken a huge hit. Heaps of garbage are dumped on the roads of Sector 45 and 46. The parks in the area are in bad shape. There is a problem with the water bills also. There is also the problem of frequent sewerage blockage, free roaming of stray animals etc . No one has bothered to look into these basic issues and daily problems being faced by the residents of the area. Gurpreet assured that all these problems are results of Anti people policies of the BJP and now the people are feeling and realizing this reality and are determined to teach the anti people BJP a strong lesson through ballot.
