Guru Kashi University To Hold State Level Mega Job Fair

Talwandi Sabo, February 15, 2018: Guru Kashi University (GKU), Talwandi Sabo is organizing a Second Mega Job Fair at its Campus, from February 20 to 24, 2018, in collaboration with Punjab Government. Students and job seekers from GKU and surrounding educational institutions can participate in this mega job fair. The Incharge, CRC Cell of Guru Kashi University told that nearly one hundred multinational Companies named British Airways, Vistara Airways, Hyatt Hotel, Cargill India, Zulu Telecom, Bajaj Motors, Ralson Tyres, Netmartz, Amazon, Mantra, Flipkart, SBI Credit Card, etc besides other national companies are visiting the campus to select candidates. Human Resource Managers from various companies have been contacted and a schedule has been planned.
For participation in this mega event, potential students have to register on the www.ghargharrozgar.punjab.gov.in portal as well as on the GKU website www.gurukashiuniversity.ac.in. The registered candidates will visit the GKU counters in the campus on the specified dates. The recruitment will involve a number of renowned companies in disciplines of engineering (25), information and communication technology (20), agriculture (13), fashion technology (12), hotel management (10), education (10), etc. The selection process will include written test, technical test, group discussion and interviews, etc.
S. Gurlabh Singh Sidhu, Chairman of GKU lauded the efforts of Punjab Government for starting placement drives in the state, wherein GKU is an active player. He also appreciated that at the call of GKU there has been an overwhelming response from the placement companies. This is the fulfillment of the objective of GKU to help the youth of the surrounding areas to find suitable employment.
The Vice Chancellor, Col Dr. B.S. Dhaliwal, said that all arrangements for this mega Job Fair have been made and that the registration process has already started. The Registrar, Dr Jagtar Singh Dhiman, said that the GKU will organize such job fairs in the times to come.
