University College of Physical Education on Friday organising a basketball intramural in the campus playground at Talwandi Sabo.
Talwandi Sabo, September 26, 2014: University College of Physical Education organised a basketball intramural in the campus playground. Dr D.R. Godara, Dean Students Welfare inaugurated the competition with his blessings to the students.
Dr Tarlok Singh Sandhu (Basketball Olympian) gave tips to the students regarding the game. He said that hard work and sportsmanship is the key to success in sports.
Girls of 3rd semester stood 1st in the intramural. Kulwinder Singh & Manpreet Kaur declared players of the tournament on the basis of overall performance during the competition.
Dr. N.S. Malhi, Vice Chancellor GKU appreciated the efforts of Dr. Ravinder Sumal and his team for frequently conducting such sports activities in the Campus. This also provides motivation to the other students, he added.
Sukhraj Singh Sidhu, Managing Director congratulated Dr. Sandhu & Dr. Sumal for successful competition of the activity. He also assured to provide every required support to promote sports & fitness culture among the students.
