Gyan Ganga - 2023 held in Doaba College
Doaba College Jalandhar organized Gyan Ganga - 2023@DCJ: Create, Innovate and Celebrate, Interdisciplinary Knowledge Fest, which was attended by around 1500 participants from 25 schools. The theme of the event was ‘One Earth-One Future-One Family’.
Jalandhar, November 4, 2023: Doaba College Jalandhar organized Gyan Ganga - 2023@DCJ: Create, Innovate and Celebrate, Interdisciplinary Knowledge Fest, which was attended by around 1500 participants from 25 schools. The theme of the event was ‘One Earth-One Future-One Family’.
The event began with lighting of the Knowledge lamp by Chief Guest Sh. Chander Mohan, President, Arya Shiksha Mandal, and Doaba College Managing Committee, Guests of Honour S. Damanvir Singh, ACP, North Jalandhar, Sh. Rajiv Joshi, Deputy DEO, Jalandhar, Prof. (Dr.) Pardeep Bhandari, Principal, Doaba College, Jalandhar, Prof. Ira Sharma, and Dr. Rajiv Khosla, Coordinators- Gyan Ganga.
Followed by the performance of Ganesh Vandana by Divya of BA BED SEM 7 and Doaba Gaan, a floral welcome was accorded to all the eminent guests by Prof. (Dr.) Pardeep Bhandari, and the Coordinators of the event. The Principals of various schools S. Tajinder Singh, Govt. Smart School Ladowali, Mrs. Tanu, P.K Memorial School, Mrs. Vandana, Dev Raj School, Jalandhar were also honoured on the occasion.
Dr. Rajiv Khosla, in his Opening Remarks, said that the NEP 2020 Interdisciplinary approach is visible in Gyan Ganga event. This is such a platform where all the students can showcase their skills. He further encouraged the students to work hard and bring glory to the country.
Principal Prof. (Dr.) Pardeep Bhandari formally welcomed all and emphasized that the objective of the college is to take everyone together and move forward toward the betterment of the students. He emphasized the efforts made for the advancement of students in the fields of education, sports, and culture.
In his address, S. Damanvir Singh, ACP North, Jalandhar motivated the students to be disciplined in order to succeed in life. He also said that every difficult thing in life can be achieved with confidence.
Vigyan of 10+2 and Vanshika Chadha of BCA Sem 5 wowed the crowd with their mesmerizing performances.
In his Presidential address, Chander Mohan, highlighted the importance of knowledge in all fields of life. He said that knowledge is the foundation on which every student’s life can flourish. One should also know how to express it and move ahead while remembering one’s aim in life. The Session culminated with a vote of thanks by Prof. Ira Sharma.
This mega event featured various competitions, grouped under diverse streams namely Vigyan Ganga, Vigyan Sandesh, Science-on-stage, Tech Ganga, Fun Games, Sanchar Ganga, Edu Ganga, Amrit Ganga, Shri Ganga to celebrate the spirit of creativity and innovation. Several events such as InQUIZitive Buzz, Vigyan Sketch Pad, Art in Science - Pre-prepared Poster, Vigyan JAM : Just a Minute, Vigyan Guru, Shark Tank : Idea Snapshot Entrepreneurship Potential, WTW : Waste to Wealth, Digi Collage, Tech Savy, Online Chess, Radio-ki-Awaz, Reporting G20, The Handmade Marketplace Challenge and Storyboard Competition were held. Stalls of different Departments were laid out in the college.
The results were announced and prize distribution was done for all events.
