Ludhiana, January 19, 2024: Ludhiana Management Association (LMA) hosted its Annual General Meeting at Park Plaza, Ludhiana, this evening, marking a significant moment in the organization's and in some way even the city’s history. The highlight of the event was the appointment of Harpreet Kaur Kang as the first woman President of LMA, and in fact the first woman to lead any Business forum in the city.

Kang, currently serving as the Dean of PCTE Group of Institute, brings a wealth of experience and a visionary leadership style to the role. She has been a pilot, journalist, glider, and author, and is been running a group of colleges for the past quarter of a century. She is an avid reader and traveler and has visited about 50 nations across the globe. An intellect with a particular stamina for geopolitics and spirituality, she says she is not really in unchartered waters while heading a business forum, since she has worked with B-School students for over two decades.

Kang said, “There is a wonderful team geared up to hit the next two years tenure and we are looking at making the association a more of a learning platform, rather than merely a socializing one.” She added that Ludhiana thrives on business - big, and small, promoters, supporters, importers, exporters, manufacturing and service, and each one of them has a plethora of problems. “One of my first agendas is to work closely with the AAP Government to bring improvement and solutions for the local industry.”

Her historic appointment as the first female President of LMA not only reflects the organization's commitment to diversity and inclusion but also sets a groundbreaking precedent in the business community of Ludhiana. The Ludhiana Management Association looks forward to Kang's leadership and the positive impact she will undoubtedly make during her tenure.
