Ludhiana, May 1, 2023: At Harvest International School it is believe that Art & Design gives our learners a platform to express themselves, sparking imagination, creativity and developing transferable skills is what our sessions facilitate. Students are encouraged to explore and push boundaries to become reflective, critical and decisive thinkers. They learn how to articulate personal responses to their experiences.
As a part of Art Appreciation unit in the Lower secondary Art & design curriculum, learners study the artworks from different isms, from Cave Art - Contemporary Art, to understand the changes in the language of art and to enhance their art vocabulary.
On 27th April 2023, The Harvest international school's Art department facilitated a field trip for the Art & Design learners, to visit the Vang Gogh 360, a display at The National Media Centre DLF Gurugram, Haryana. Offering the learners an opportunity for rich immersive experience and invaluable global learning. It featured art works and important information about the most famous and influential figure in the western Art history, Vincent Willem Van Gogh.
Furthermore, the learners were amazed when they witnessed Van Gogh's Art works on the entire white cube, including the floor. It was a fascinating experience for them, to surround and be in the artworks of this Dutch Post- Impressionist Painter.
“We as a school organize subject related field trips as they not only facilitate great academic learning but also are a way to know the learner profile attributes our students carry”, said a release issued by the school, adding, “We noticed the following attributes and we also took time and mentioned this as a trip reflection with the group.”
Further, the release reads: “Some of the attributes that we noticed in our learners:They cared for each other, honesty and something that cannot go unnoticed, an amazing sense of self and community that they hold. It was a pleasure to structure this educational trip for our curious emerging young talents.”
