Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal handed over his residence situated in the village of Baniyani, Rohtak district to the community for social work.
Rohtak, January 29, 2024: Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal handed over his residence situated in the village of Baniyani, Rohtak district to the community for social work. Today, during his journey from Rohtak to Bhiwani, the Chief Minister made a stop at his ancestral village of Baniyani, where the villagers warmly received him. It was during this visit that he expressed his intention to donate his home to the village for social welfare initiatives. The villagers enthusiastically embraced the Chief Minister's proposal, expressing their support through resounding applause and slogans.
CM Manohar Lal expressed his deep sentiment towards the village, highlighting its profound significance as the place where he spent his formative years and received his education. He said that this house is a symbol of his parents, which they had named after him. Today, he handed over both his own residence and that of his uncle's son, which together encompass an area of approximately 200 square yards to the village. He said that an e-library will be established in within the premises. This innovative initiative will offer not only computer facilities but also a diverse collection of books catering to various interests, ensuring accessibility for individuals of all ages, including the elderly.
He expressed his desire for the house to serve a noble purpose, envisioning it as a place where children can gather to receive education and pave the way for a brighter future. To ensure the effective utilization of the property, he proposed the formation of a village committee entrusted with its care and management.
Earlier, the Chief Minister engaged in discussions with local farmers regarding the proposed construction of a road along Baniyani Minor, spanning from Bhiwani Road to Mokhara Road. The Chief Minister also visited Rajkumar's house in the village. He met the villagers there and said that this place is memorable for him because he spent his childhood here. Recalling his childhood, he said that there used to be a well of Devi Singh at this place. Upon his arrival in village Baniyani, he was warmly welcomed by former village sarpanch and district president of Kisan Morcha Bansi Vij, former MLA Sarita Narayan, and other esteemed guests.
On this occasion, Deputy Commissioner Ajay Kumar, District Superintendent of Police Himanshu Garg and other leaders and dignitaries were also present.
