Rohtak, April 3, 2025: The stage of the Tagore Auditorium of the MDU has been set for the two-day long Haryana Film Festival-2025 starting from Friday.

Haryana's Youth Empowerment and Sports Minister Gaurav Gautam will inaugurate this film festival. Showing immense enthusiasm towards this festival, the students were seen decorating the Tagore Auditorium throughout the day.

In the picture exhibition to be held in the gallery of Tagore Auditorium, pictures of famous Haryanvi personalities from various fields including Haryanvi and Indian cinema, education, medicine, science, sports, media, industry have been put up to inspire the youth from them. Also, pictures of great freedom fighters, litterateurs and other great men of the Indian freedom movement will also be seen at the exhibition site.

Secretary of Vishwa Samvad Kendra, Rajesh Kumar said that Haryanvi Film Festival 2025 is being organized with the aim of showcasing short films based on the civilization and culture of Haryana and highlighting the brotherhood and social harmony of the state.

Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini will be the Chief Guest at the closing ceremony of this two-day film festival being organized by Vishwa Samvad Kendra, Haryana, Cine Foundation, Haryana and MDU. Famous actor Rajkumar Rao will be present as a special guest in the closing ceremony. MDU Vice Chancellor Prof. Rajbir Singh will be present as a special guest in the opening and closing ceremonies.

 The organizing committee finalized the preparations related to the event on Thursday for the grand opening of this film festival. In this two-day film festival, there will be various activities and presentations focused on the rich culture, history and folk life of Haryana. During this, three special workshops (master classes) will be organized on the topics - Script to Cinema, the role of songs and music in the development of Haryanvi culture and why the importance and development of regional (Haryanvi) cinema is necessary. Apart from this, there will also be a competition of short films and documentaries, in which the selected films will be honored in the award distribution ceremony on April 5.
