Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatreya advocated intense Academia-Industry Interface for betterment of Institution
Quality research with technological intervention, Innovation and Start-ups to boost entrepreneurial culture, research to provide solutions to local & societal problems is the need of the hour. This was stated by Governor of Haryana & Chancellor of Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU) Bandaru Dattatreya in an Interactive SAMVAD programme with University Research Scholars here today.
Rohtak, December 1, 2023: Quality research with technological intervention, Innovation and Start-ups to boost entrepreneurial culture, research to provide solutions to local & societal problems is the need of the hour. This was stated by Governor of Haryana & Chancellor of Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU) Bandaru Dattatreya in an Interactive SAMVAD programme with University Research Scholars here today.
Governor-Chancellor Bandaru Dattatreya said that advanced technologies like Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, Virtual & Augmented Reality, etc. must be utilized for knowledge expansion and cutting-edge research for human welfare.
Governor-Chancellor advocated intense Academia-Industry Interface for betterment of Institution. He lauded the efforts of MDU Vice Chancellor Prof. Rajbir Singh & his team for providing an enabling environment for higher studies and research in the University.
Governor-Chancellor also interacted with the Topper students and student representatives of University Court, Outreach, Youth Welfare, NSS, Youth Red Cross committees, etc. Governor motivated the students to achieve their life-goals.
MDU Vice Chancellor Prof. Rajbir Singh in his address highlighted the progress journey of the University, especially in the domain of research & development. He said that a robust research eco-system has been created in the University. He informed that 15 University researchers (faculty members & research scholars) have been included in the Top 2 percent Scientists of the World List curated by the Stanford University (USA). He expressed the gratitude of the Governor-Chancellor for his constant guidance and mentoring for the University's growth & development.
MDU research scholars shared their research work information and gave suggestions for boosting the research environment. The student-representatives too shared their perspectives in the Interactive Session.
MDU Dean, academic Affairs Prof. Surendra Kumar delivered the Welcome Address and Registrar Prof. Gulshan Lal Taneja expressed the Vote of Thanks.
Director, Youth Welfare Dr.Jagbir Rathee conducted the stage in the Samvad Programme.
Dean, CDC Prof. A.S.Maan, Dean(R & D) Prof. Arun Nanda, Dean, Students' Welfare Prof. Randeep Rana, Deans of Faculties, Head of Depts., faculty members, University Research Scholars, students, etc. were present in the programme organized in the Tagore Auditorium of the University.
