Haryana’s first women Dr. Naresh Yadav receives national award on occasion of National Science day

Gurugram, February 28, 2022: Dr. Naresh Yadav from Haryana is the first woman who has received the prestigious national award for outstanding efforts in science and technology - popularization among children. The award was presented by Dr. Jitendra Singh, minister of state for science and technology, Govt. of India. The award ceremony was held on the occasion of National Science Day organized by The Department of Science & Technology, Government of India which took place in Vigyan Bhawan, Delhi.
The event was graced with the presence of honorable dignitaries from the ministry of science and technology. There were 11 awardees from various sectors who were appreciated for their immense contribution in the field.
Receiving the award, Dr. Naresh Yaday expressed, “I am extremely elated and humbled by this recognition from the hon'ble minister. With growing concerns about global warming and water shortage, benefits of rainwater harvesting and many more scientific activities, I have been working towards imparting scientific knowledge amongst all age groups for over 25 years and reached out to over 15 lakh students directly and over 50 lakh students indirectly."
Dr. Naresh Yadav is devoted to promote and accelerate the scientific environment and socio economic status of the community through its action oriented program and academic studies. Her focus has been more on raising scientific awareness among students using interactive methods such as industrial tours, training workshops, science quiz and competitions, live models, short skits and awareness campaigns.
