A regular cancer OPD every Saturday between 10 AM to 2 PM will be organized at Mall Road, Mehar Super-specialty Hospital. A team of cancer specialists from HCMCT Manipal Hospitals will provide expert consultation at the clinic along with treatment to people suffering from cancer and tumors.
There has been a sharp increase in the number of illnesses over the last several years, some of which have even had fatal implications. Even among the younger population, the case of cancer is increasing which could be because of postponed treatment. People living a sedentary lifestyle have resulted in an abrupt shift of lifestyle, as they frequently overlook the initial symptoms. As per the World Health Organization, this potentially fatal condition is responsible for almost 10 million deaths worldwide. Cancer can be fatal if not identified and treated at an early stage. Additionally, postponing therapy raises the likelihood of cancer recurrence. Therefore, it's critical to establish a practice of regular checkups to lower any danger of developing these severe illnesses.
On the launch of this cancer care facility, Dr. Sanjeev Kumar, Surgical Oncologist, HCMCT Manipal Hospitals, Dwarka said, “The cases of cancer are slowly affecting even the younger generation and it is important to raise more awareness and encourage regular check-ups among the people across all ages. With the launch of this cancer care facility, we hope to give the best possible medical care to the people of Bhatinda and nearby areas. Cancer is one such life-threatening condition that requires prompt medical intervention and thanks to this clinic, which will have all the cancer care facilities, so people no longer have to travel far for better medical care.”
