Health awareness talk
A health awareness talk on “Basic Ergonomics for Office Working Women” and “Stay Healthy, Stay Happy: Preventing Lifestyle Diseases” was conducted today at the Working Women Hostel, Panjab University, Chandigarh. Dr. Amritpal Kaur, Warden and Associate Professor at the Institute of Educational Technology and Vocational Education, graced the occasion as the guest of honor.

Chandigarh, April 22, 2025: A health awareness talk on “Basic Ergonomics for Office Working Women” and “Stay Healthy, Stay Happy: Preventing Lifestyle Diseases” was conducted today at the Working Women Hostel, Panjab University, Chandigarh. Dr. Amritpal Kaur, Warden and Associate Professor at the Institute of Educational Technology and Vocational Education, graced the occasion as the guest of honor.
The session was organised under the guidance of Dr. Manoj Kumar Sharma, Chairperson, Centre for Public Health, with support from faculty members Dr. Pravreet Kaur and Dr. Poonam Sharma.
The talk was delivered by Dr. Nisha Thakur and Dr. Nikita, MPH 2nd year students, who gave an insightful presentation on workplace ergonomics and preventive measures for lifestyle diseases. The discussion emphasized the importance of correct posture, balanced routines, and simple habits for maintaining physical and mental well-being.
