Mukandpur (SBS Nagar): Under the guidance of SMO Dr Ravinder Singh, labourers working in various grain markets and rice mills mainly in villages Hakimpur, Khanpur, Garcha, Mukandpur and Phambra were instructed to wear face masks and practicing social distancing even while doing work. As per government guidelines, they were also instructed to regularly use soap and scrub all surfaces of the hands for atleast 40 seconds and rinse thoroughly with running water or use a sanitizer that contains 60% alcohol. They were also advised to use separate utensils for drinking water, tea and lunch.
In these grain markets and rice mills multipurpose health supervisors Rajkumar, Balwant Ram, Kuldeep Singh and Sarabjeet Singh checked more than 500 labourers and further reported to Rapid Response Team. After that RRT Medical Officers Dr Jatinder Sidhu, Dr Balkar and Dr Shingara Singh examined the symptoms like fever, dry cough, breathless problem, running nose and throat infection of the labourers./(April 23)
