Ferozepur, July 4, 2013: The protest by Rural Health Veterinary Pharmacists Para-medical and Class IV Union (Health Employees Union) to regularise their services entered 31st day while it was 21st day of chain hunger strike.

Speaking on the occasion, Gurdev Singh Bhuto, president and other members of the union said, the anti-employees policy of the government has ruined their life.  The government, ever after seven years service, is adopting the blustering behaviour to compel them to work at the meager wages with step-motherly treatment.

The president further said, when the doctors engaged on contract basis have been regularised, it is not understood as to why they are not being regularised and adopting the dilly-dallying attitude.

It is pertinent to mention here that one of their colleagues has committed suicide on being fed up from the anti-employee policy of the government.

In case the government is not in a position to give two time bread to its employees, it should resign on moral grounds.

Giving a warning to the government, Sharlinder, Kashmir, Darshan Singh and Sham sitting on the hunger strike said, in case the government is not serious about their demands, a secret action will be initiated for which the responsibility will be that of the government.
