Health Mela organized at DMCH College of Nursing
The Department of Mental Health Nursing and Obstetric & Gynaecological Nursing, DMCH College of Nursing, Malakpur, Ludhiana, organised a Medical Health Checkup camp “health mela” on Thursday.
Ludhiana, April 18, 2024: The Department of Mental Health Nursing and Obstetric & Gynaecological Nursing, DMCH College of Nursing, Malakpur, Ludhiana, organised a Medical Health Checkup camp “health mela” on Thursday.
The camp was inaugurated by Bipin Gupta secretary, DMC&H manager society, Dr GS Wander, principal DMC&H, Dr. Triza Jiwan, Principal College of Nursing, Prof. Nidhi Sagar, Vice Principal, Sarpanch of villages, faculty and students.
The services provided in the camp were B.M.I calculation, B.P. monitoring and Reproductive health assessment.
Besides this, the students of B.Sc. Nursing 4th year enacted a role play on de-addiction. M.Sc. Nursing students also created awareness for general public by putting an exhibition on De-addiction, Antenatal care and advices, family planning methods.
A total of 66 patients from villages Birmi, Phagla, Malakpur, Rajowal, Sidhwan Bet, Khera Bet, Jainpur, Ayali Khurd, Noorpur attended the camp, out of which 21 patients were benefitted from Psychiatry Consultation and 45 patients were benefitted from Gynaecology Consultation. All the patients appreciated the services given by Dr. Sandeep Dhillon, (Department of Psychiatry) and Dr. Meghna Marwah, (Department of Gynaecology).
Shri Bipin Gupta, Secretary Managing Society of DMCH appreciated the efforts of College of Nursing and encourages that such health camps should be continued in future.
