Panchkula, March 25, 2019: A health talk on women related health issues was held at PG Girls’ College, Sector-14 Panchkula. Addressing talk, Dr. Aparna Sharma, senior consultant- gynaecology & Obstetrics, Alchemist Hospital said that in order to take care of others in the family, women neglect minute health problems they generally go through. “They should take some time out and get their body checked for any suspicious growth or anything that a woman think should be flagged before it gets too late. Regular health checkups and test can help to find problem before they start.” Dr. Aparna further said that women need some special examination and screening of cervical Pap smear test to check cervix cancer and breast examination to check breast cancer. She also made aware the audience about early detection and prevention of cervix cancer, anemia during pregnancy. She also informed about the cervical vaccination to prevent cervical cancer. Regular exercise, stress management, choosing the right foods and routine health screening can make a woman healthy, Dr. Aparna maintained.
