Ludhiana, October 2, 2023: The Heritage Club of DRV DAV Centenary Public School, Phillaur organised a series of activities to celebrate Gandhi Jayanti in collaboration with the Social Science department.
Students from the 8th grade had the opportunity to learn about the remarkable life of Mahatma Gandhi through a PPT presentation. Social Science teachers took the time to elucidate the major movements initiated by Mahatma Gandhi during India's struggle for independence.
In the 10th grade, students participated in an essay writing competition that focused on Mahatma Gandhi's life and teachings.
Another creative endeavour was the poster making activity. Students crafted artistic portraits of Mahatma Gandhi and subsequently used these posters to decorate the school boards. This artistic expression paid homage to his iconic image.
Principal Dr Yogesh Gambhir paid homage to the great leader and stated that these activities not only commemorate the legacy of Mahatma Gandhi but also impart knowledge and appreciation of his ideals to the students, fostering a deeper understanding of our nation's history and values.
