Hero Steels Limited, Ludhiana organized a function regarding the improvement of the environment in Shaheed Nirmaljit Singh Sekhon Government High School, Rurka Kalan, District Ludhiana.
Ludhiana, October 1, 2022: Hero Steels Limited, Ludhiana organized a function regarding the improvement of the environment in Shaheed Nirmaljit Singh Sekhon Government High School, Rurka Kalan, District Ludhiana.
Vicky Bansal, Environmental Engineer, Punjab Pollution Control Board was the Chief Guest of the function. Madhur Gupta, Chief Executive Officer of the company informed that the company had sponsored the school and they observed the condition of the sanitation system of the school is very poor. Hence, the company decided to construct separate toilets for boys & girls.
The CEO of the company further informed that the vision of Sunil Kant Munjal, Chairman of the company is very clear about the environmental pollution control & compliances thereof.
Also, Shefali Munjal, Managing Director of the company takes a keen interest in the activities regarding the up-gradation of the inside and surrounding environment of the company.
Vicky Bansal, Environmental Engineer, Punjab Pollution Control Board informed that the message regarding the up-gradation of the environment can be given to students only. The students of the school performed a cultural program on the various environmental activities giving a message to society regarding the ill effects of pollution and the up-gradation of the environment.
The officials of Hero Steels Limited distributed the cloth bags to the students and the villagers. They were also motivated by the use of plastic for their day-to-day needs. Also, a tree plantation was made on the premises of the school.
Ranbir Singh, Sarpanch of the village, and Daljit Singh, Principal of the school thanked the management of the company for their excellent cause regarding the up-gradation of the environment of the school.
Vishal Kumar, Assistant General Manager (HR) informed that the company has organized the program with the guidance of the Punjab Pollution Control Board and will also remain to perform activities regarding the up-gradation of the environment in the future also.
